College & Community Fellowship offers tutoring and mentoring to students who express an interest in either form of support. The tutors and mentors are all volunteers and go through a CCF specific orientation before working with the students.
Tutoring
CCF can arrange tutoring for students who ask for it. Some subjects students have been tutored on in the past include math, statistics, research, foreign language, and writing, although CCF staff will try to find a tutor for any academic need.
Mentoring
Mentors assist students with developing skills to achieve their academic goals by providing constructive feedback, advice and support. A mentor helps the student identify and work on strengths and weaknesses in academic performance and helps the student envision a long-term plan. Mentors facilitate a supportive environment that encourages learning to take place.
