Career Advancement Program

Our new Career Advancement Program (CAP) is for women with criminal justice histories who have a college degree or are interested in getting one. Interested students can come to us at any point on their career pathway for support.

CAP is designed to meet women where they are through a multi-prong model that includes career readiness consultation, resource referrals, job placement, internship opportunities, and on-the-job training.

STEP 1: Career Access

  • Phone screening

  • Meeting with Career Coach

STEP 2: Career Readiness

  • Career Readiness Assessment

  • Career Readiness Plan

CURRICULUM INCLUDES digital literacy, Office Suite training, interpersonal and intrapersonal communications skills through one-on-one coaching sessions and group workshops, effective negotiation skills, mock interviews, professional portfolio workshops, job search and placement coaching, financial education, and quarterly networking events.

All CAP participants must complete a total of two workshops to remain in good standing. Workshops are held weekly.
