Unlock Higher Ed Coalition

UHE Banner.png

The Unlock Higher Ed Coalition is a broad group of stakeholders interested in policy solutions to increase educational access for individuals with criminal convictions. We believe that higher education creates pathways to financial stability and increased opportunity.

Collaboratively, we will communicate updates and insights to build momentum towards our collective goals of restoring the Pell Grant in prisons, banning the box on college applications, removing question 23 of the FAFSA, and increasing support for the Office of Correctional Education.

CCF and Operation Restoration in New Orleans lead this coalition, with support from dozens of other organizations and individuals committed to unlocking higher ed access for those impacted by the criminal justice system.
